1:1 Homebuyer Counseling

Confidential one on one sessions to help you plan your path to homebuying
Is buying a home the right step for you right now?

In our consumer-centered culture, many of us end up attaching our self worth & importance to our homeownership goals. While homeownership definitely has its advantages, it is important to remember that it is not a MUST. Many people have led productive lives, raised wonderful families, and enjoyed their lives completely without ever owning their own home. It's o.k. not to buy and it is also o.k. not to buy right now.

Successful homeownership is a decision; one that must be made consciously and with determined commitment in order for it to be successful.

Our 1:1 homebuyer counseling offers a personalized homebuying plan for each client. Over the course of 2-3 sessions, you will work with 1:1 with a counselor in a confidential environment and cover: budgeting; credit review; debt management; housing prospects; and financing. Consultation with a counselor with give you an honest picture of where you are in the homebuying process, and what it will take to get to the next step. Emphasis in the sessions is placed on realistic goals and personal responsibility.

Counseling is free to graduates of any CHAPA certified First Time Homebuyer course. If you have not taken a homebuyer class, fees apply.
